The Issues

Providing mainly income tax return services to his database, the Principal felt that he had grown the business to a point where he needed to review his software and workflow systems.

He wanted to delegate more of his work to his 3 Managers to free up his time to focus more on his larger client groups and take time off on a weekly basis.

The Office Administrator needed upskilling to take the operations load away from the Principal.

The Approach

Your Business First (YBF) facilitated a Planning Day with the Principal and key team members to identify key projects & to implement best practice.

We ranked the projects by priority with time frames & measurabilities.

They decided to engage the YBF General Management service (GM) once a fortnight onsite and the monthly Board Meeting to achieve his objectives.

The GM managed these projects whilst freeing up the time of the team to focus on their clients.  The GM:

  • Increased the turnover of the business
  • Reduced turnaround time of jobs
  • Started monthly team meetings.
  • Managed the process of introducing clients to Accountants as point of call to free up Principal.
  • Provided training in knowledge gaps of the software.
  • Streamlined workflow process
  • Re-engineered the entire database designed to list the client list responsible for each Manager.
